B.Effect's brief to the local Wanaka graphic designer Jon Griffiths was:
"We're crafting a beer, and therefore the beers need a label that portrays that artistic nature of crafting beer."
His suggestion was paper marbling the background designs, it was a perfect idea that resonated with us immediately.
So having forgotten our art lessons from primary school, a lot of Googling and many YouTube tutorials were watched. Everything went to plan much better than we could have anticipated, and the designs are now on the bottles for you to enjoy. So we really must thank Jon for the labels.
A great film made in 1970 by Bedfordshire Record Office shot on 16mm of Cockerell Marbling and the art they practice.
